More on Commonwealth All-District Selections

Via Brooke Point’s Sports Information Director at Brooke Point Baseball News:

The Brooke Point Black-Hawks’ Varsity Baseball Team placed 7 players in 11 positions for the 2010 Commonwealth All-District Selections.

First Team Selection

Andrew Tyree – Pitcher (senior)

Second Team Selections

David Dilegge - 2B (junior)
JJ McDaniel - 3B (junior)

Honorable Mention Selections

Pitchers: Evan Houde (senior) and Chris Denno (junior)

1st Base: Andrew Tyree (senior)

Short Stop: Chris Denno (junior)

Utility Player: Evan Houde (senior) and David Dilegge (junior)

Outfielders: Ryan Carder (senior) and Gary Pisall (senior)

Last year Brooke Point had only two players recognized in the All-District Selections. One of those players was sophomore David Dilegge selected as the 2nd Team second baseman. He repeated this year at 2nd base and also as a Utility Player for the second year in a row. Senior Brian Hudson was the other Black-Hawk selected as Honorable Mention outfielder. Hudson has finished his freshman year playing football a Liberty University on a scholarship. Next year as a sophomore were all expecting big things out of Hudson at Liberty.
