Black-Hawks' starting pitcher Andrew Tyree notched another Commonwealth District win for Brooke Point in a 7-6 victory over the Wildcats last night at Mountain View. Outfielder Evan Houde went 1-for-3 with two runs batted in on a double to help Brooke Point to its fifth straight district win. Tyree also had a run batted in on a double. Second baseman Connor O'Hara scored one run and drove in another for the Black-Hawks.
With North Stafford's 10-0 win over Massaponax last night the Black Hawks (5-1) remain 1/2-game behind the 1st-place Wolverines (6-1).
In other Commonwealth action yesterday Albemarle defeated Riverbend 2-1 and Colonial Forge won another close one over Stafford 5-4. Brooke Point hosts the Albemarle Patriots on Tuesday in another Commonwealth District match-up.
