Black-Hawks' starting pitcher Evan Houde notched another Commonwealth District win, Houde's 4th straight, for Brooke Point in a 4-1 victory over the Albemarle Patriots last night at Brooke Point. Houde pitched 6 solid innings giving up just 1 run (unearned) and striking out three. He also added a RBI single.
Third baseman J.J. McDaniel hit a towering solo home run over the left-field fence in the fourth inning and shortstop Chris Denno went 2-3 for the Hawks who are now 6-1 in Commonwealth District play.
In the Commonwealth Division regular season race the Hawks remain a half-game behind the North Stafford Indians (7-1) who topped Mountain View 7-2 last night. In other district action yesterday Massaponax won over Colonial Forge 3-1.
