Hawks Drop Opener at Wheels Tournament

The Brooke Point Black-Hawks lost their first game at the Wheels Tournament in Rock Hill, South Carolina, 14-3 against the Lancaster Bruins yesterday. Black-Hawks starter Evan Houde gave up nine hits and nine runs while striking out four in three innings of work. Gary Pisall came on in relief in the fourth. 9 fielding errors committed by the Black-Hawks kept this game from even being close.

The Black-Hawks offense included 2 hits in 3 at bats by third baseman J.J. McDaniel. Andrew Tryee, Gary Pisall, Ryan Carder, David Dilegge, Matt Cammuse and Drew Bell all had singles. Lancaster totaled 16 hits and committed only one error. Brooke Point totaled 8 hits and is now 2-2 overall and 1-1 in division play.

The Black-Hawks have two games today at Rock Hill, 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
